Description
Nexus MedPro Staffing is seeking Registered Nurses for a contract position with the Veterans Health Administration (VA) to support the Community Living Center (CLC) at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio.
The CLC provides short-stay skilled nursing and rehabilitation care to Veterans recovering from hospitalization, surgery, or acute illness.
Position Details
Pay: $50.00/hour
Location: 10701 East Boulevard, Cleveland, OH 44106
Assignment: August 24, 2026 – May 31, 2027
Type: Full-Time Local Contract
Available Shifts
Days: 7:30 AM–8:00 PM or 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
Evenings: 11:30 AM–12:00 AM or 3:30 PM–12:00 AM
Nights: 7:30 PM–8:00 AM or 11:30 PM–8:00 AM
Responsibilities
Patient assessments and monitoring
Medication administration and IV therapy
Central/peripheral line medication administration
Blood draws and laboratory specimens
Tube feedings
Foley catheter care
Wound care and dressing changes
Tracheostomy care
Admissions, discharges, and transfers
Rehabilitation and recovery support
EMR documentation
Emergency response
Interdisciplinary care coordination
RNs may be required to float between CLC units based on staffing needs.
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
Current Ohio RN or Compact (NLC) license
Current American Heart Association BLS/CPR
Minimum 2 years of direct patient care experience within the last 3 years
EMR/EHR documentation experience
Ability to complete VA credentialing and mandatory training
Availability for assigned shifts, weekends, and holidays
LTC/CLC experience is not specifically required. RNs with qualifying recent experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, Med-Surg, acute care, post-acute care, or other direct patient care settings are encouraged to apply.
Important VA Requirement
Your nursing program must be ACEN or CCNE accredited. Nursing education will be verified before submission to the Veterans Health Administration.
Candidates must also provide three professional references representing at least two employers and complete required VA credentialing and OIG verification.
