Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical – VA | Cleveland, OH
$47–$50/hour | Full-Time Local Contract
Nexus MedPro Staffing is seeking experienced Medical-Surgical RNs for a contract opportunity supporting the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center.
IMPORTANT VA EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: To be eligible for this VA assignment, all RN nursing degrees held by the candidate, regardless of degree level (ASN/ADN, BSN, MSN, etc.), must be from nursing programs that were ACEN or CCNE accredited at the time of graduation.
Position Details
Location: Cleveland, OH
Pay: $47–$50/hour
Assignment: August 24, 2026 – May 31, 2027
Type: Full-Time Local Contract
Schedule: Multiple shifts available – Days, Evenings, and Nights
Available Shifts
Day: 7:30 AM–8:00 PM
Evening: 3:30 PM–3:00 AM
Night: 7:30 PM–8:00 AM
Multiple Medical-Surgical RN openings are available. Shift availability may vary by opening. Weekends and holidays may be required.
Responsibilities
* Provide Medical-Surgical/acute inpatient nursing care
* Patient assessments and monitoring
* Medication administration and IV therapy
* Telemetry/cardiac monitoring
* Central and peripheral line care
* Wound care and wound VAC therapy
* Blood product administration
* Admissions, discharges, and transfers
* EMR/EHR documentation
* Emergency response and interdisciplinary care coordination
* Float between units as needed
Requirements
* 2+ years of direct patient-care experience within the last 3 years
* Medical-Surgical and/or acute-care RN experience
* Current Ohio RN or Compact (NLC) license
* Current AHA BLS/CPR
* Telemetry/cardiac monitoring experience
* RN nursing degrees must meet the ACEN/CCNE accreditation requirement stated above
* Availability for assigned shifts, weekends, and holidays
* 3 professional references representing at least 2 employers
* OIG verification and required VA credentialing
Note: An active RN license or passing the NCLEX alone does not satisfy the VA nursing education requirement.
