Description
Nexus MedPro Staffing is seeking an experienced Neuro ICU RN for a 13-week travel assignment with a reputable healthcare system in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Assignment Details
Pay: Up to $2,145/week*
Start Date: September 21, 2026
Contract: 13 weeks
Schedule: 3x12 Nights
Shift: 6:45 PM–7:15 AM
Hours: 36 hours/week
Setting: Neuro ICU / Comprehensive Stroke Center
Floating: Required to other ICUs
Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
Travel Experience: At least 1 year required
Orientation: 24 hours
RTO: Up to 2 requests
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of RN experience
At least 1 year of travel RN experience
Neuro ICU experience
ACLS, BLS and NIHSS
Acute stroke/CVA management
ICP monitoring
EVD management
Lumbar drain management
Post-neurosurgical care
Traumatic brain injury care
Seizure/neurological critical care management
Ventilator and ABG management
Arterial and central line management
Continuous IV sedation
Titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
IV insulin protocols
Neuro ICU Overview
This high-acuity Neuro ICU is part of a comprehensive stroke center and cares for critically ill adult and geriatric neuroscience patients.
Ideal candidates should have strong experience with:
Acute stroke management
Intracranial pressure management
EVDs and lumbar drains
Seizure management
Post-neurosurgical patients
Traumatic brain injuries
Ventilated patients
Invasive monitoring
Titrated critical-care drips
Temperature management, including Arctic Sun/Zoll systems
Patient assignments may vary based on acuity, including 1:1, 1:2 and 1:3 ratios.
