Description
Nexus MedPro Staffing is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a 26-week travel assignment with a reputable healthcare system in Charlotte, North Carolina.
This is a very fast-paced, high-acuity L&D unit. Candidates must have previous experience working in a high-volume facility with more than 300 births per month.
Assignment Details
Pay: Up to $2,445/week*
Start Date: September 14, 2026
Contract: 26 weeks
Schedule: 3x12 Nights
Shift: 6:45 PM–7:15 AM
Hours: 36 hours/week
Patient Ratio: 1:2
Weekend Coverage: Every third weekend
Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
Floating: May float within Women's Services/High-Risk OB
Epic: Required
Travel Experience: Not required
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience – HARD STOP
Experience in a facility with >300 births/month – REQUIRED
BLS
NRP
AWHONN Intermediate/Advanced or C-EFM
Labor & Delivery management
Sterile vaginal exams
Obstetrical triage
IV therapy
Infant/neonatal emergency response
Dysrhythmia interpretation
High-risk antepartum experience preferred
C-section circulating experience strongly preferred
About the Unit
This high-acuity birthing unit cares for obstetrical patients at 16 weeks gestation and above, including intrapartum, high-risk antepartum and postpartum patients.
The unit also manages:
Obstetrical triage
Antenatal fetal surveillance
Scheduled and unscheduled C-sections
Rescue cervical cerclage
IV hydration and medication administration
High-risk obstetrical patients
Double labor assignments occur daily, so candidates should be comfortable working in a busy, high-volume Labor & Delivery environment.
