Description
Nexus MedPro Staffing is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a 20-week travel assignment with a reputable healthcare system in Charlotte, North Carolina.
This is a very fast-paced, high-acuity L&D unit averaging 400–600 births per month. Candidates must have previous experience in a facility with more than 300 births per month.
Assignment Details
* Pay: Up to $2,445/week*
* Start Date: October 12, 2026
* Contract: 20 weeks
* Schedule: 3x12 Nights
* Shift: 6:45 PM–7:15 AM
* Hours: 36 hours/week
* Weekend Requirement: 6 Saturday/Sunday shifts per 6-week schedule
* Block Scheduling: No
* Floating: Within Women's Services/High-Risk OB as needed
* Epic: Required
* Travel Experience: Not required
Required Qualifications
* Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience – HARD STOP
* Experience at a facility with >300 births/month – REQUIRED
* BLS
* NRP
* AWHONN Intermediate/Advanced or C-EFM
* OCT (Oxytocin Challenge Test) experience – REQUIRED
* Infant/Neonatal Arrest experience – REQUIRED
* C-section circulating experience
* High-risk antepartum experience
* Sterile vaginal exams
* OB triage
* Labor & Delivery management
* Dysrhythmia interpretation
About the Unit
This high-volume birthing unit manages approximately 400–600 births per month and cares for obstetrical patients at 16 weeks gestation and above, including:
* Labor and delivery
* High-risk antepartum care
* Postpartum care
* Obstetrical triage
* Scheduled and unscheduled C-sections
* Rescue cervical cerclage
Double labor assignments occur daily, so candidates should be experienced and comfortable working in a busy, high-acuity L&D environment.
