Description
Nexus MedPro Staffing is seeking an experienced PICU Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment with Providence Covenant Children’s Hospital in Lubbock, TX.

- Shift: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
- Hours: 36 hours/week
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,455/week

Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of PICU experience
- PICU experience required
- Epic experience required
- BLS required
- PALS required
- First-time travelers accepted
- Travel experience not required
Clinical Experience
Candidates should be comfortable with:
- Ventilator management
- BiPAP/CPAP and HFNC
- Intubation assistance
- ABG interpretation
- Chest tube management
- Central line care
- PICC line management
- Continuous sedation
- IV vasopressors
- Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Hemodynamic monitoring
- ICP monitoring, EVDs, and VP shunts
- Isolation precautions/PPE
- Pediatric Stepdown and PICU care
Unit Details
- Children’s Hospital / Level II Pediatric Trauma Center
- 18-bed PICU
- Average daily census: approximately 15
- Typical ratio: 1:2
- Patient population includes neonates, infants, pediatrics, and adolescents
- Float required to Pediatric Med/Surg and NICU
- Weekend coverage varies
- No call
- 36 hours of orientation
- Navy scrubs for RNs
- Free parking
