Description
JOB SUMMARY
The Student Radiology Tech provides patient care services working with diagnostic radiology technologists. Helps perform exams/procedures utilizing Radiograph Equipment as prescribed by physicians. Applies principals of radiation protection. Provides patient care essential to diagnostic radiology procedures.JOB DETAILS AND REQUIREMENTS
Type: PRN or As Needed
Typical hours for this position: Weekends 8:00am-5:00pm, Weekday evenings as available
Radiology Tech (non-certified)
Education:
-Graduate of an AMA accredited radiologic technology program, experience commensurate with education, or currently enrolled in a radiology tech program- required
Certification & Licensures:
-BLS certified.
Experience:
-Familiar with radiologic equipment and experience working in a clinic setting.
-Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.
-Ability to maintain quality control standards and react calmly and effectively in an emergency situation. -Able to communicate clearly, as well as understanding and responding to detailed oral and written instructions.
Student Radiology Tech
Education:
-Active student of an AMA accredited radiologic technology program and eligible to take ARRT registry, at time of graduation.
-BLS certified.
Certification & Licensures:
BLS Certification
Experience:
Competency in the science and art of radiologic technology.
