Job Summary and Qualifications

What will you do in this role:

· Operate, maintain, and store all equipment in a safe, knowledgeable, and efficient manner, conducting daily checks to ensure cleanliness and functionality

· Ensure necessary equipment, surgical tables, and positioning aids are available for procedures (Includes cutting/preparing foam).

· Assist in preparation of the operating rooms by ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available before procedures (stage case carts and equipment outside the room).

· Proactively monitor room progress and report to the room at the appropriate time to assist with turnover, without requiring a call from OR staff.

· Assist in keeping operating rooms and surrounding areas, including hallways, clean and tidy, to maintain a clear and organized Surgical Services suite.

· Assist in OR room preparation under the direction of surgical staff, maintaining sterility protocols, by staging equipment and case carts.

· Monitor and assist with OR traffic control to ensure efficient workflow and minimize disruptions.

What qualifications you will need:

• High School Graduate / GED
• Two years of experience as an equipment specialist in an OR environment preferred
• 2 year degree along with formal Biomedical training is also preferred
