24 or 48 hour shifts -- 2 x 24 hour shifts every 2 weeks
4 shifts per month needed
Census of 8 - 10 patients; can surge up to 20
Additional provider called in for support during census surges
Procedures: deliveries, intubation, lumbar puncture, chest tubes
PICC/UAC/UVC line placement and vent management required
Resuscitation skills required -- NRP certification needed
Hospital privileges required
