This role requires a minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience, including OB and Med Surg, along with prior critical access hospital work. You should be comfortable with patient ratios averaging 2-3 for Med Surg, 1:1 for L&D, and 1-2 in the ER, with the ability to handle diverse patient populations of all ages. Certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and NRP are required, with TNCC, PALS, or ENPC highly recommended. The shift runs from 6:45 PM to 7:00 AM, with no on-call or callback duties, but some weekend work is expected every other week.

Ideal candidates will have OB and Med Surg experience along with critical access background. The hospital is a tight-knit community, so flexibility and professionalism are a must. Housing can be challenging due to the small facility size; most travelers utilize Airbnb or consider staying in Goodland, KS, about 30 minutes south, where hotel options are more plentiful. The hospital can assist with housing arrangements. On-site certification completion for NRP is available.
