Job Requirements

• Education Requirements: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Certifications Requirements: Valid Illinois PTA license; CPR certification; HIPAA certification.
• Experience Requirements: At least 1 year of experience as a PTA in a hospital setting; experience with adult patient populations; familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Other Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods; strong communication skills; attention to detail.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to enhance mobility and functional recovery in a hospital setting.
• Collaborate with physical therapists and healthcare team members to develop and implement patient treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment sessions in EMR systems.
• Educate patients and family members on rehabilitation exercises and proper health practices.
• Execute patient assessments and report findings to the supervising physical therapist to ensure optimal care adjustments.
