Travel Medical Technologist / Clinical Laboratory Scientist – 13-Week Contract – Critical Access Hospital

Connected Health Care is seeking an experienced Medical Technologist / Clinical Laboratory Scientist (MT/CLS) for a 13-week travel assignment at a highly respected critical access facility. This contract offers competitive pay, a full 40-hour workweek, and free housing provided by the hospital, making it an excellent opportunity for an MT/CLS looking to expand their skills in a supportive rural healthcare environment.

Job Description

• Perform a full range of laboratory tests including hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, blood bank, and microbiology

• Conduct accurate specimen collection, processing, and analysis

• Utilize and maintain laboratory instruments, ensuring proper calibration and troubleshooting

• Perform phlebotomy as required for patient testing

• Interpret and report laboratory results in accordance with regulatory standards

• Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to support patient diagnosis and treatment

• Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, and facility quality control procedures

• Maintain detailed documentation and follow laboratory safety protocols

Education & Certification Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field

• ASCP or AMT certification strongly preferred. Montana License is required.

• Previous experience in a clinical laboratory setting required

• Phlebotomy experience is mandatory

• Strong organizational, technical, and communication skills
