Connected Health Care is currently seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week contract-to-permanent position in Glasgow, Montana. This position offers weekly compensation up to $2,304, based on experience. Job Description
As a Respiratory Therapist in this role, you will provide high-quality respiratory care to patients in a hospital setting. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to assess, treat, and manage patients with various respiratory conditions, ensuring the best possible outcomes.
- Administer respiratory therapy treatments such as oxygen therapy, ventilator management, and aerosolized medications
- Perform diagnostic tests including pulmonary function tests, arterial blood gas analysis, and chest physiotherapy
- Educate patients and families on respiratory care practices, disease management, and home care
- Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to develop and implement patient care plans
- Monitor and assess patient progress, adjusting treatments as necessary
- Respond to emergency situations and provide life-saving interventions when required
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records and treatment plans
- Ensure all respiratory equipment is properly maintained and calibrated
- Adhere to all safety and infection control procedures
Education & Certification Requirements
- Associate’s degree or higher in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited institution
- Current Respiratory Therapy (RRT or CRT) certification through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required
- Montana state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist
- 1+ years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting
Skills & Qualifications
- Expertise in administering respiratory therapy treatments and performing diagnostic procedures
- Strong understanding of respiratory diseases, therapies, and patient care techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm during emergencies
- Excellent communication and patient education skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care
