Travel/Contact Ultrasound Sonographer - Local Candidates Accepted!

Job Requirements
  • Education Requirements: Graduation from an accredited Ultrasound Technology program or an equivalent associate degree.
  • Certifications Requirements: ARDMS certification required; vascular certification preferred but not mandatory; BLS certification required.
  • Experience Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of ultrasound experience, with at least 1 year of acute care experience. Previous travel experience preferred. Outpatient experience acceptable for seasoned travelers.
  • Other Requirements: Ability to work independently, proficiency with EPIC EMR and GE ultrasound equipment, and comfortable working in a fast-paced ER environment. Must possess good communication skills and be adaptable under pressure.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality ultrasound imaging for adult and pediatric patients, including abdominal, vascular, OB, and extremity scans.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all procedures within the EMR system, primarily EPIC, ensuring timely and precise reporting.
  • Operate GE ultrasound equipment and PACS systems, troubleshooting as needed to deliver diagnostic images efficiently.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, ER staff, and other healthcare team members to expedite patient care and diagnostics.
  • Demonstrate independence in managing caseloads, especially during overnight and weekend shifts, ensuring all scans meet hospital protocols and safety standards.
