Contract/Travel Registered Nurse - Neurology - 36/48 Hours Per Week Guaranteed!

Job Requirements
  • Education Requirements: Valid Illinois RN license with minimum of an associate degree in Nursing or higher
  • Certifications Requirements: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIHSS
  • Experience Requirements: At least two years of strong Med Surg/Tele experience, including one travel assignment; neuro experience required
  • Other Requirements: Recent EPIC charting experience; ability to take medical overflow patients; strong assessment and critical thinking skills; social candidates who adapt well to change

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide specialized neuro and neuro-surgical patient care, including assessments, interventions, and patient education.
  • Execute and document accurate neuro assessments, NIHSS screenings, and dysphagia screens per facility protocol.
  • Administer medications, manage IV therapies, and titrate heparin gtts with strict adherence to protocols.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans and ensure safety compliance.
  • Maintain accurate charting within EPIC and adapt to unit-specific workflows and documentation standards.
