Job Requirements

• Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Medical Dietetics and/or nutrition
• Certifications Requirements: Registered Dietitian (RD) license in Ohio, valid Ohio motor vehicle operator's license, insurable under Firelands' auto policy
• Experience Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of inpatient clinical dietitian experience, hospital setting experience preferred
• Other Requirements: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently, familiarity with healthcare documentation and nutrition assessment processes

Job Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional assessments and develop personalized care plans for patients based on their medical and food habits.
• Collaborate with medical staff to review and modify diets according to patient needs and medical orders.
• Educate patients and their families on dietary management during hospital stays and outpatient care.
• Document all nutritional evaluations and interventions accurately in patients’ medical records.
• Supervise foodservice staff to ensure proper implementation of prescribed diets and protocols.
