Job Requirements

• Education Requirements: Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Certifications Requirements: Current Colorado RN license, BLS certification, CPR certification
• Experience Requirements: At least 2 years of corrections nursing experience, 1-2 years of travel nursing experience
• Other Requirements: Physical ability to stay on feet for long shifts, proficiency with electronic medical records (EMRs), excellent communication and teamwork skills

Job Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to correctional facility inmates, ensuring adherence to facility protocols and safety standards.
• Assess patient conditions upon arrival and throughout shifts, documenting findings accurately in electronic medical records.
• Collaborate with facility staff and healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Maintain compliance with all licensing, certification, and facility policies during each shift.
• Educate inmates on health management, medication administration, and health promotion strategies.
