Job Requirements

• Education Requirements: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution
• Certifications Requirements: CPR, BLS, and ACLS certifications
• Experience Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of corrections nursing experience, 1-2 years of travel nursing experience
• Other Requirements: Ability to work night shifts (6p-6a or 7p-7a), strong communication skills, adaptability to rotating schedules

Job Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to correctional facility inmates, including assessment, treatment, and discharge planning.
• Collaborate with facility staff and healthcare teams to ensure compliance with institutional policies and healthcare regulations.
• Maintain accurate, detailed documentation of patient care, treatments, and responses.
• Execute emergency procedures and manage acute health situations as they arise.
• Educate inmates on health management, medication adherence, and wellness practices to promote ongoing health.
