Job Requirements- Education Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of accredited Surgical Tech program
- Certifications Requirements: BLS (Basic Life Support) required; additional certifications in Ophthalmology or Orthopedics preferred
- Experience Requirements: 0+ years of surgical technologist experience; prior ophthalmology and/or orthopedic surgery experience preferred; familiarity with EPIC, Alaris, and Pyxis systems beneficial
- Other Requirements: Ability to work 8-hour days on variable start times; excellent communication skills; ability to respond quickly during on-call situations; physical stamina for standing and assisting during surgeries; team-oriented attitude

- Assist and maintain sterile conditions during ophthalmology, orthopedic, and general surgeries, ensuring patient safety and procedural efficiency.
- Prepare and organize surgical instruments and supplies using the hospital’s charting and equipment systems such as EPIC, Alaris, and Pyxis.
- Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and support staff to facilitate smooth workflow within the OR and support post-operative procedures.
- Respond promptly to on-call requests with a 30-minute response time, providing assistance during emergency cases or urgent procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation of surgical procedures, supplies used, and patient information in compliance with hospital policies and standards.
