Title:  Respiratory Therapist
Location:  Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Contract: 13 weeks
Schedule: Nights - 3 x 12 hour shifts per week. 18:00-06:30. Weekend rotation required.
Requirements:  2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience | -Current State of Wisconsin License as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP).
-Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).

Job Summary:
A Respiratory Care Practitioner performs designated respiratory care and pulmonary diagnostic procedures in accordance with established policies and procedures. Responsibilities include treatment, management, control, diagnostic evaluation, and care of patients with cardiopulmonary system deficiencies and abnormalities. Services include therapeutic treatments, diagnostic testing, ventilatory support, bronchopulmonary clearance, breathing exercises, patient education, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and airway maintenance. These procedures are performed in critical and non-critical care areas for patients of all ages. The role aligns with the mission, vision, and values of Froedtert Health System. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in both general and critical care
• Associate Degree from a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Care program
• Current State of Wisconsin License as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP)
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification

Preferred Qualifications:
• 2+ years of experience in a hospital setting providing respiratory care
• Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care
• Membership in the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) and Wisconsin Society for Respiratory Care (WSRC)
