Title:  RN - Cardiac Stepdown

Location:  Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Contract: 13 weeks

Schedule: 12 hour nights weekends and float as needed, Shift 19-0730AM

Requirements:  2 years of RN - Cardiac Stepdown experience

-Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact).
-American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent.
-AHA HeartCode Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) for healthcare providers or an AHA approved equivalent is required.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of patients in an inpatient environment. This role requires competency in delivering care to a primarily adult population. The job description aligns with the ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice, 2nd Edition (2010).

Required Qualifications:

• Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice acquired through education at an accredited School of Nursing, making the candidate eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• Clinical competence and experience in the care and management of target patient populations specific to the area of employment.
• Associate’s degree in nursing.
• Current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact).
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA-approved equivalent.
• AHA HeartCode Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) for healthcare providers or an AHA-approved equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
