Title:  Respiratory Therapist

Location:  Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Contract: 13 weeks

Schedule: NOC 3 days per week Weekend and holiday rotation required

Requirements:  2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience

-American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) and Wisconsin Society for Respiratory Care (WSRC) membership.

-Current State of Wisconsin License as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP).
-Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
-BLS
-ACLS
-NRP -  (CHD only - Froedtert West Bend Hospital or Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital)

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist

Location: Froedtert Health System, Wisconsin

Job Summary:
A Respiratory Care Practitioner performs designated respiratory care and pulmonary diagnostic procedures in accordance with established policies and procedures. Responsibilities include therapeutic treatment, diagnostic testing, ventilatory support, bronchopulmonary clearance, patient education, and maintenance of airways. These procedures are performed in critical and non-critical care areas for patients of all ages. The role requires adherence to the mission, vision, and values of Froedtert Health System.

Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in general and critical care.
- Associate Degree from a CoARC accredited Respiratory Care program.
- Current State of Wisconsin License as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP).
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) within 12 months of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within 6 months of hire (CHD only – Froedtert West Bend Hospital or Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital).

Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in a hospital setting providing respiratory care.
- Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Care.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Membership in the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) and Wisconsin Society for Respiratory Care (WSRC).

Additional Information:
- New graduates must obtain the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential within one year from the date of hire.
