Description
Title: Respiratory Therapist
Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Contract: 13 weeks
Schedule: Day shift. 0600-1830. every other weekend required.
Requirements: 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience
-Current State of Wisconsin License as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP).
-Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
-BLS
-ACLS
-NRP - (CHD only – Froedtert West Bend Hospital or Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital)
Preferred Certifications & Licensure:
-American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) and Wisconsin Society for Respiratory Care (WSRC) membership.
Job Title: Respiratory Therapist
Location: Wisconsin
Job Summary:
A Respiratory Care Practitioner performs designated respiratory care and pulmonary diagnostic procedures in accordance with established policies and procedures. Responsibilities include therapeutic treatment, diagnostic testing, ventilatory support, bronchopulmonary clearance, patient education, and maintenance of airways. These procedures are performed in critical and non-critical care areas for patients of all ages. The role aligns with the mission, vision, and values of Froedtert Health System.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in general and critical care.
- Associate Degree from a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Care program.
- Current State of Wisconsin License as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP).
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) within 12 months of hire.
- BLS certification.
- NRP certification (specific to Froedtert West Bend Hospital or Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital).
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in a hospital setting providing respiratory care.
- Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care.
- ACLS certification.
- Membership in the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) and Wisconsin Society for Respiratory Care (WSRC).
