Description
Title: Sonographer Multi Registry – General
Location: Manitowoc, Wisconsin
Contract: 26 weeks
Schedule: Schedule: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm Monday – Friday. Willing to consider four ten-hour shifts/week.
Sonographers average seven procedures/eight-hour shift or nine procedures/ten-hour shift.
On call or weekends required: On-call rotation.
Typically, one-night per week (5:00 pm to 6:30 am).
Weekend call coverage (5:00 pm Friday – 6:30 am Monday) every third or fourth weekend.
Will be included in on-call holiday rotation.
Call response time: Five minutes to answer page and then 40 minutes to be at the patient bedside.
Requirements: 2 years of Sonographer Multi Registry – General experience
Agency General/Vascular Sonographer needed ASAP. Please list some of the top qualifications this person will need: Working independently, good communication skills, flexibility with schedule/shifts to support any staffing plan changes. Skill set: General Ultrasound, Breast, Interventional Procedures, 1st trimester OB, and Vascular scans. Equipment/Systems: Canon US machines, McKesson PACS, Epic-American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life support for the Healthcare provider (BLS) or an American Heart Association (AHA) approved equivalent is required.
-Newly hired, experienced sonographers must be registry eligible through the ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers).
-Sonographers will be required to be registered in Abdomen (AB), OB/GYN (OB) and Vascular (VT). Each registry not obtained at the time hire will need to be completed every 9 months until all registries are complete.

Job Summary:
The Sonographer Multi Registry – General position requires expertise in imaging techniques for various ultrasound areas, including OB/GYN, Abdominal, Small Parts, Breast (site-specific), Vascular, OR, and Procedure, adhering to ACR guidelines and department-specific policies. Responsibilities include providing 24/7 coverage with rotating Saturdays, holidays, and call coverage, performing sonographic examinations according to department standards, producing high-quality images, and ensuring proper labeling and identification. The role involves analyzing physician orders and patient history, contributing technical knowledge to interpreting physicians, collaborating with other departments for scheduling, and providing sonography services at multiple locations. Additional duties include maintaining equipment, practicing infection control, assisting radiologists during procedures, and effectively communicating to ensure seamless patient care.
Required Qualifications:
• Proficiency with ultrasound equipment and basic knowledge of patient care equipment.
• Graduate or student in a program accredited by CHEA, USDOE, or CMA for diagnostic medical sonography/diagnostic cardiac sonography/vascular technology.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers or equivalent certification.
• Registry eligibility through ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers).
• Registrations required in Abdomen (AB), OB/GYN (OB), and Vascular (VT), with completion timelines for newly hired sonographers.
Preferred Qualifications:
• One year of current clinical experience.
• Substantial training and clinical experience with ARDMS registry.
• Familiarity with McKesson PACS and Epic EMR.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Ultrasound/Sonography.
Additional Information:
Failure to meet certification requirements within the specified timeframe will result in dismissal.
