Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse for our Labor & Delivery unit. In this critical role, you will support expecting mothers through labor, delivery, and postpartum care, ensuring safety, comfort, and positive outcomes. Your expertise will directly impact families in a collaborative, high-quality clinical setting committed to excellence.
Required Skills
- Valid Nebraska RN license or the ability to obtain licensure
- Current BLS, NRP, and ACLS certifications
- Proven experience in Labor & Delivery or postpartum nursing
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and patient advocacy abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Nice to Have Skills
- Prior experience in a rural or community hospital setting
- Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Certification in fetal monitoring or other specialized L&D training
- Bilingual skills to serve diverse patient populations
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of L&D nursing experience
- Previous experience working in Nebraska or similar healthcare environments
Other Requirements
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights and weekends
- Ability to adapt to different clinical settings and patient needs
- Commitment to maintaining up-to-date certifications and licensure
