Position: RN Corrections – Day Shift
Location: Coal Township, PA (Travel Opportunity)
Duration: 13 weeks (with potential extension)
Start Date: 04/30/2026
Pay Rate: $29.00/hour
Weekly Housing Stipend: $770

Shift Details:

• 8.5-hour daytime shifts
• Every other weekend off
• Holidays as scheduled
• Includes a 0.5-hour unpaid lunch

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver professional nursing care to inmates and detainees
• Step into roles such as charge nurse, staff nurse, or assessment coordinator
• As a charge nurse, coordinate nursing activities, supervise staff, assess equipment needs, and ensure proper documentation
• As an assessment coordinator, create and evaluate personalized care plans, coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, and liaise with residents and families when needed
• As a staff nurse, provide direct nursing services, manage specialty areas (like infection control or risk management)
• Exercise independent judgment, following professional nursing standards
• Receive assignments through instructions and work autonomously under supervision from RN supervisors, physicians, or dentists

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Proficiency in airway management, CPR, first aid, IV therapy, medication administration, vital signs, and emergency protocols
• Ability to perform diagnostic testing and specimen collection
• Experience with ventilator care, wound management, sterile techniques, and special procedures such as NG tube insertion and ostomy care
• Ability to conduct full body assessments, develop Plans of Care, and operate necessary medical equipment
• Must adhere to all nursing standards and patient safety protocols

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year relevant experience
• Valid RN license in Pennsylvania or willingness to obtain
• Expert knowledge in correctional healthcare procedures and standards
