RN Corrections Day Shift – Travel Opportunity

Are you an experienced correctional nurse looking for an exciting travel opportunity? We're hiring a dedicated RN to join our team at a Commonwealth correctional facility in Muncy, Pennsylvania. This full-time travel position offers a 13- or 26-week contract, with guaranteed 40 hours per week on your shift.

Shift Details:

• First shift: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm
• Every other weekend off for a better work-life balance

Pay & Perks:

• Competitive pay rate of $29.00 per hour
• Weekly housing stipend of $770 to assist with accommodations
• Travel opportunities with flexible start dates (April 23 or April 30)

What You’ll Do:
Provide top-quality nursing care to inmates and detainees in correctional facilities. You'll take on versatile roles including charge nurse, staff nurse, or assessment coordinator, depending on the shift needs. Your responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing individualized care plans
• Directing and coordinating nursing activities, supervising staff, and ensuring documentation accuracy
• Delivering professional nursing assessments and treatments in accordance with standards
• Managing specialized areas like infection control, quality improvement, and risk management
• Exercising independent judgment and receiving guidance from RN supervisors and medical professionals

Your Skills & Experience:

• At least 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in correctional or acute care settings
• Proficiency in airway management, CPR, medication administration, IV therapy, and wound care
• Ability to perform complex assessments, including full body exams and mental health evaluations
• Skills in using medical equipment such as ventilators, glucometers, and ostomy care tools
• Knowledge of sterile techniques and safety protocols
