Position Details:

• Title: RN Corrections (Eve Shift)
• Location: Somerset, PA (1590 Walters Mill Rd)
• Start Date: March 24, 2026
• Duration: Up to 13 weeks
• Shift: 8 hours per shift, evenings
• Schedule: Every other weekend and holidays (as scheduled)
• Hours: 8.5 hours per shift, includes a 0.5-hour unpaid lunch
• Pay Rate: $29.00/hour
• Weekly Housing Stipend: $770
• Travel: Yes – travel experience preferred

What You’ll Do:

• Provide professional nursing care and treatment to inmates and detainees in correctional facilities
• Act as a charge nurse, staff nurse, or assessment coordinator
• Lead nursing teams, assess staffing and equipment needs, and ensure proper documentation and care coordination
• Develop, implement, and evaluate personalized care plans
• Perform essential nursing procedures, including airway management, medication administration, wound care, and vital sign assessment
• Utilize advanced skills such as ventilator care, tube insertions, and neurological checks
• Exercise independent judgment, following standards of nursing practice
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive inmate care

Required Qualifications:

• Active Pennsylvania nursing license or a non-renewable temporary practice permit
• Proven ability to document health data accurately in electronic medical records
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills
• Willingness to commit to a temporary assignment of up to 6 months

Key Competencies & Skills:

• Extensive nursing procedures: CPR, airway management, medication administration, and vital signs
• Specialized skills: ventilator care, wound management, NG tube insertion, and sterile techniques
• Ability to perform comprehensive assessments, including mental status exams
• Knowledge of infection control, medication records, and emergency response protocols
• Capable of working independently and making sound clinical decisions
