Join our dedicated correctional healthcare team in Newport Center, VT, for an exciting travel RN opportunity at Northern State Correctional Facility. This position offers a competitive weekly gross pay of $2,110 for 3x12-day day shifts, with a weekly housing stipend of $800 to support your stay.

Position Details:

• Location: Newport Center, VT
• Shift: 3x12 Days (Day shifts)
• Duration: 13 weeks, with the possibility of extension
• Start Date: Approximately 2-3 weeks after offer acceptance
• Pay Rate: $24.00 per hour
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
• Weekly Housing Stipend: $800
• Weekly Gross Pay: $2,110
• Housing Provided (Optional): Local candidates are welcome, and accommodations can be arranged if needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality healthcare services to incarcerated patients in a secure facility
• Conduct clinical assessments and develop treatment plans
• Administer medications and monitor patient progress
• Ensure safety and compliance with correctional healthcare protocols
• Collaborate with correctional staff and healthcare team members to deliver compassionate care

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in Vermont
• Minimum of 3 months corrections nursing experience (strongly preferred)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• CPR certification or other relevant healthcare certifications (preferred)
• Knowledge of correctional health protocols is a plus
• Ability to start within 2-3 weeks of offer acceptance
• Willingness to work night shifts (3x12 Days) and adapt to a fast-paced environment
