About the Facility: This leading acute-care hospital provides a certified Chest Pain Center, a designated Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence, and a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence. It is also home to a state-designated Level II Trauma Center and a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, with specialty centers for pediatrics, wound care, and hyperbaric therapy.

Department Information:

• Average patients/day: 8-11 Patients per therapist per day.
• Minimum Years of Experience required: Prefer 1 year of relevant experience.
• First-time travelers are welcome.

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: You will work with patients experiencing orthopedics, debility, spinal cord issues, neurological disorders, multi-trauma, fractures, post-op recovery, and cardiac conditions.

Required License and Certifications:

• Licensed in the state of Georgia
• BLS certification required

Skills Required: Ability to treat the common diagnoses listed above and work independently with minimal oversight.

Support within the Department: The Rehab department has over 20 teammates (therapists and aides) working daily with administration on-site.

Technology/Equipment: EMR used is EPIC, with department-specific equipment for SLP including FEEs (Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing).

Orientation and Scheduling:

• Orientation: 3-5 days departmental (depending on relevant experience)
• Weekend rotation: No
• On-call: No
• Holiday Expectations: No
• Requested Time Off (RTO): Up to 7 days of RTO can be approved if the traveler extends the contract.
• Shift times: 5-8’s or 4-10’s (day off chosen by department and will be consistent throughout assignment)
• Schedule cycle: 13 weeks
