Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Step Down Registered Nurse in Beaufort, SC. This contract position is perfect for dedicated RNs with a passion for providing quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. You will be part of a dynamic team working in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) that frequently floats to Med-Surg and Telemetry units.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to patients in the Step Down unit, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Float to Med-Surg and Telemetry units as needed.
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:4-5 in Step Down and 1:5-6 in Med-Surg.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.

Requirements:

• Must have 2 years of Med-Surg experience.
• Step Down/PCU experience required.
• Must be comfortable floating between units.
• Active South Carolina nursing license (no license or background hits accepted).
• Certifications: BCLS, ACLS.
• IV start experience required.
• Travel experience preferred.

Please note that candidates must not reside within 50 miles of the facility. Scrubs are not provided; royal blue and white are required. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech (MP).
