Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Step Down Registered Nurse (RN) in Beaufort, SC. This contract position is ideal for experienced RNs looking to make a difference in patient care within a dynamic healthcare environment.

As a Step Down RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and frequently floating to Med-Surg and Telemetry units. This role requires a strong background in medical-surgical nursing, with a minimum of 2 years of experience. You will work in a 29-bed general surgical and orthopedic unit with medical overflow, ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Step Down unit.
Float to Med-Surg and Telemetry units as needed.
Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in status.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.

Requirements:

Must have 2 years of Med-Surg experience.
Step Down/PCU experience is required.
Must hold a valid South Carolina nursing license.
Certifications: BCLS, ACLS.
Must be comfortable floating between units.
Travel experience is preferred.

This position requires a commitment to working weekdays, every other weekend, and holidays as needed. Please note that candidates must not live within 50 miles of the facility and must have no license or background hits to be considered.
