We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Pediatric Stepdown Registered Nurse for a contract position in Portland, OR. This role is in the Pediatric Intermediate Care Unit (PIMC), providing intermediate level care for medical/surgical patients aged 0-18 years. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of pediatric nursing experience and be willing to take on charge nurse responsibilities as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide evidence-based, compassionate care to pediatric patients and their families.
• Monitor and manage patients requiring intermediate care, including non-ICU neurosurgical and ventilated patients.
• Collaborate with an inter-professional team to promote a culture of safety and quality care.
• Engage in lifelong learning and professional development.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of pediatric nursing experience.
• Ventilator experience.
• Current BLS and PALS certifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with external ventricular drains (EVD) or peritoneal dialysis (PD).
