Join a leading acute-care hospital as an Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse in Portland, OR. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to patient care in the Interventional Radiology department.

Shift Details: This role requires a Day 4x10-Hour shift from 07:00 to 17:30, with call required. The department is open Monday through Friday for routine and emergent cases, and an on-call team is available 7 days a week for all cases after routine hours of operation.

Required Qualifications:

• IR/Cath/GI Procedural Experience, preferably including body and neuro procedures
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Oregon RN License required
• Minimum 2 years of Critical Care, PACU, ED, or Procedural experience
• Confidence to work alongside and communicate directly with physicians
• Excellent communication skills and active listening abilities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Efficient time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with caring for patients undergoing procedures and managing associated complications
• Knowledge of radiation safety and fluoroscopy
• Experience as a Charge RN in a related setting (ICU, PACU, ED)
• Ability to assess patient conditions quickly and accurately
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High emotional intelligence and ability to manage competing demands

Department Summary: The Interventional Radiology department is staffed by a multidisciplinary team including Registered Nurses, Interventional Radiology Technologists, and Interventionalists. The role requires the ability to ride the Arial tram throughout the day and the flexibility to adapt to changing assignments. Weekend and after-hours call is required, with the ability to report to work within 30 minutes of being called.
