Join a leading acute-care hospital in Charlotte, NC, as an IMC Registered Nurse specializing in IMC/IMU/PCU/Stepdown. This contract position offers an opportunity to work with an intermediate population that is specialized in neurological and medical intermediate patients. We are seeking dedicated professionals who meet our high standards for patient care and teamwork.

### Key Responsibilities:

• Provide care for patients in a Neuro Stepdown/PCU/IMC setting.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and manage dysrhythmias.
• Administer IV insulin protocols and titrate insulin drips.
• Care for feeding tubes and manage continuous bladder irrigation (CBI).
• Perform blood product administration and manage central and peripheral lines.
• Care for patients with neurological disorders, including aneurysms, CVA, and post-neurosurgery care.
• Utilize BiPAP/CPAP and manage ventilated patients.
• Adhere to isolation precautions and wound care protocols.

### Required Skills and Certifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Neuro experience is preferred; first-time travelers will not be accepted.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
• EPIC experience is mandatory.
• Ability to titrate LEVO and manage various medical protocols.

### Additional Information:

• Ratios: 1:4, with an average daily census of 24 patients.
• Weekend requirement: Minimum of 3 weekend shifts every six weeks.
• Unit orientation includes 32 hours of training with a combination of computer class and on-unit shifts.
• Scrubs not provided; navy blue and white combinations are acceptable.
