Join a leading acute-care hospital as a PCU Registered Nurse in Randallstown, MD. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a 40-bed Progressive Care Unit/Step Down unit, providing care for adult and geriatric patients with various diagnoses, including CHF, COPD, MI, sepsis, pneumonia, GI bleed, ETOH withdrawal, renal failure, stroke, and altered mental status. This Stroke Certified unit is dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to patients in the PCU/Step Down unit.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms.
• Manage non-titratable cardiac drips and perform chest tube management.
• Respond to Code Team situations as recorder and timekeeper.
• Administer peritoneal dialysis and document care using Cerner iVIEW.

Requirements:

• 2 years of PCU/Step Down or Med-Surg/Telemetry experience required.
• Maryland or compact RN license required upon submission.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications required.
• Strong EKG experience and experience managing non-titratable cardiac drips required.
• CVA experience and chest tube management with Emerson/Pleur-Evac required.
• Floating between like units is required based on hospital needs.

Additional Information:

• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend.
• Time off restrictions: Auto-approval for 14 days or less of RTO; no RTO on hard-to-fill days.
• Scrub color: Navy blue; scrubs are provided.
