Join a dynamic team as a Medical Lab Technician (MLT) in Prattville, AL, at a leading community hospital. This contract position offers an opportunity to work in a supportive environment with a dedicated team of professionals. If you have at least 2 years of experience and a passion for laboratory work, we want to hear from you!
General Information:
- Department is staffed 24/7 with a Lead Tech and management available during the day.
- MLT/MLS will never be solo; there will always be at least one other technician present.
Exam Types:
- Hematology
- Chemistry
- Coagulation
- Urinalysis
- Blood bank (preferred)
Required Licensure & Certifications:
- Must be MLT or MLS
- AMT or ASCP certification required
Skills Required:
- Experience with the above exam types is necessary.
- Phlebotomy experience is preferred but not required.
Technology/Equipment:
- EMR: Cerner
- Chemistry - Siemens Vista
- Hematology - XN 2000
- Coagulation - Siemens CS 2500
- UA - Advantis
- Sed rates - iSed
Orientation:
- Brief general hospital orientation provided.
- Management will conduct a brief orientation with check-offs, lasting at least 1 week, possibly longer based on comfort level.
Scheduling:
- Weekend rotation: Every other weekend.
- No on-call responsibilities.
- Holiday Expectations: 1 holiday per contract.
- Time-off approval goes through the manager.
- Schedule is made 4 weeks in advance, with 1 week notice for shifts.
Additional Notes:
- Scrub Color: Any solid color.
- Free parking available in the parking lot.
