Join a dynamic team at a leading acute-care hospital in Asheville, NC, as a Travel RN in the Emergency Department (ER). This is a Rapid Response position requiring flexibility and a commitment to high-quality patient care. The role is designed for experienced RNs who thrive in fast-paced environments and are dedicated to providing exceptional service to a diverse patient population.

This contract position spans 6 weeks, with guaranteed hours of 48 per week. The shift is from 18:45 to 07:15, allowing you to make a significant impact during your time in the ER. Orientation includes a 4-hour hospital introduction followed by an 8-hour shift on the floor, ensuring you are well-prepared to meet the needs of patients.

Unit Specifics:

• Number of Beds: 101
• Patient Ratios: Typically 4:1, up to 7:1 on ED behavioral holds
• Documentation System: Cerner
• Type of Equipment: Baxter pumps, GE monitors

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care in a Level 2 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center.
• Work collaboratively with a team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Be flexible and open to floating within all sections of the ED.
• Adhere to patient experience requirements, including AIDET and respectful behavior.

Qualifications:

• 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an ER setting.
• Experience in a high-volume ED with over 100,000 visits preferred.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS required before the start date; ENPC within 90 days of hire.
• Teamwork mentality with the ability to coach and provide feedback in real-time.
