Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Travel RN in the Emergency Department (ER) in Asheville, NC. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced RNs looking to make a difference in a high-volume emergency setting. Our team is known for its collaboration and commitment to patient care, serving a diverse community with over 120 languages spoken in the area.
This position requires a flexible schedule, as rapid response RTO/special scheduling will not be accommodated. We guarantee 48 hours per week, with overtime available after 48 hours. The role includes a 4-hour hospital orientation followed by an 8-hour shift on the floor. The required scrub colors are navy, white, or a combination thereof for RNs.
Unit Specifics:
- Number of Beds: 101
- Patient Ratios: Typically 4:1, up to 7:1 on ED behavioral holds
- Type of Equipment: Baxter pumps, GE monitors
- Documentation System: Cerner
Requirements:
- 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in an ER setting
- Experience in a Level 2 trauma center or comprehensive stroke center preferred
- ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required before the start date
- ENPC certification within 90 days of hire
- Teamwork mentality and ability to provide real-time feedback
- Flexibility to work in all areas of the ED
