Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Travel RN in the Emergency Department (ER) in Asheville, NC. This position requires a commitment to providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment. Position Details:

• Contract Type: Travel RN
• Shift: 18:45 - 07:15, 12-hour shifts
• Duration: 6 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week
• Number of Openings: 3

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care in the Emergency Department.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort during treatment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Perform necessary medical procedures and document care using Cerner.
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning.

Requirements:

• 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an ER setting.
• Experience in a Level 2 trauma center or a comprehensive stroke center preferred.
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, and CPI certifications required before start date.
• Flexibility to work in all areas of the ED and a teamwork mentality.

Unit Specifics:

• Patient Ratios: Typically 4:1, up to 7:1 on ED behavioral holds.
• Unit staffing includes techs and unit clerks available during shifts.
• Type of equipment includes Baxter pumps and GE monitors.

Orientation includes a 4-hour hospital orientation followed by an 8-hour shift on the floor. The dress code requires navy scrubs for RNs. Note that tobacco use is prohibited on campus.
