Join our team as an IMC Registered Nurse in Charlotte, NC, where you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients in a leading acute-care hospital. We are looking for dedicated professionals who excel in teamwork and uphold the highest standards of patient interaction and care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide care for an intermediate population, specializing in neurological and medical intermediate patients.
- Titrate medications, including LEVO, and manage IV insulin protocols.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to emergencies, including the use of rapid response and code teams.
- Administer blood products and manage central and peripheral lines.
- Conduct assessments and provide care for patients with various conditions, including but not limited to aneurysms, CVA, and spinal cord injuries.
- Utilize EPIC for documentation and patient management.
Required Skills and Certifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Neuro experience preferred; first-time travelers will not be accepted.
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
- Experience with cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, and phlebotomy.
- Ability to manage ventilated patients and perform tracheostomy care.
Work Environment:
- Night shifts, 4x12 hours, from 18:45 to 07:15.
- Patient ratios of 1:4, with a maximum daily census of 24 patients.
- Weekend requirement: minimum of 3 weekend shifts every six weeks.
- Unit orientation includes 32 hours of training.
