Join our team as a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) in Seattle, WA, where you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to mothers and newborns in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. This contract position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, including midwifery clients and those in adult recovery services.

As an L&D RN, you will be responsible for:

• Providing care during labor and delivery, functioning as a Baby Nurse and continuing care of the newborn until transfer to postpartum.
• Floating as needed to sister facilities that provide Mother/Baby care.
• Administering medications and performing assessments, including Heparin, Insulin, Magnesium Sulfate, and Vitamin K injections.
• Adhering to AWHONN guidelines and staffing protocols.

Requirements for this position include:

• 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery, with a focus on high-risk cases.
• Active compact license accepted.
• Certifications: Required - BLS, NRP; Preferred - ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate.

Additional details:

• Average Daily Census: 15 patients/day; 500-600 deliveries/month.
• Facilities: 31 rooms and beds available.
• Schedule: Posted every 6 weeks to meet unit needs.

We are committed to supporting our nurses with pre-approved time off on a case-by-case basis, and you will be expected to work every other weekend and holidays as needed.
