Join a leading acute-care hospital in Seattle, WA, as a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN). This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced RNs to work in a high-risk, high-volume Labor and Delivery unit. We are looking for dedicated professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments and are committed to providing exceptional care to mothers and newborns.

Key Responsibilities:

Function in the role of Baby Nurse during delivery and provide continuous care of the newborn until transfer to postpartum.
Administer newborn care, including eye and thigh assessments, and provide necessary injections such as Vitamin K.
Float to postpartum and antepartum units as needed, and may also float to sister facilities that provide Mother/Baby care.
Support midwifery clients and private OBs, as well as Adult Recovery Services and community care clinics.
Adhere to AWHONN guidelines for staffing and patient care.

Patient Diagnoses: High-risk pregnancies, midwifery clients, substance recovery support.

Unit Details:

High Risk/High Volume Labor & Delivery unit with 4 operating rooms.
Average Daily Census: 15 patients; 500-600 deliveries per month.
31 beds available in the unit.
Schedule posted every 6 weeks to meet unit needs.

Certifications Required: BLS, NRP.
Preferred Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate.

To qualify, candidates must have at least 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery, with high-risk experience preferred. First-time travelers are welcome, provided they have been separated from any previous facility for at least 3 months. Please note that floating is required, and active compact licenses are honored.
