Join a leading outpatient cancer clinic in Charlotte, NC, as a Radiation Therapist. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, providing essential radiation therapy to outpatient ambulatory cancer patients. You will be part of a supportive team of approximately 12 therapists, ensuring high-quality care in a collegial environment.

Department Information:

• Average patients/day: Typically, we treat anywhere from 60 – 100 patients per day.
• Department runs 3 machines daily.

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience required.
• First-time travelers are welcome.

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:

• Outpatient ambulatory cancer patients requiring radiation therapy.

Required Licenses and Certifications:

• BLS certification.
• Radiotherapy Technologist (ARRT-T) certification.

Skills Required:

• Experience with Varian Truebeam Linear Accelerators and various cancer diagnoses.
• Proficiency in the use of specified equipment is required, with manager approval for other experiences.

Support within the Department:

• Leadership support is available.

Technology/Equipment:

• EMR: EPIC/Aria.
• Department-specific equipment includes Varian Truebeam Linear Accelerators.

Floating:

• Potentially may be needed to float to other radiation therapy sites in greater Charlotte, subject to manager approval if not comfortable.

Orientation:

• New employee orientation (NEO) and 2 days of departmental training.

Scheduling:

• Weekend rotations are possible but unlikely.
• Weekend call is rotated amongst the entire team based on staffing numbers.
• The department is closed on holidays.
• Requests for time off (RTO) require manager approval.
• Shift times: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
