Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Oakland, MD. This contract position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on critical patient care. We are looking for dedicated RNs who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of patients.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including reading telemetry strips.
• Titrate medications as required, including common drips such as propofol, cardizem, insulin, precedex, and levo.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members, including hospitalists and intensivists, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Assist with procedures and ensure all equipment is functioning properly, including ventilators and CPAP/BiPAP machines.

**Requirements:**

• Active RN license and ICU experience are required.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, including weekends as scheduled.
• Must be able to float to Med-Surg as needed based on census.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

**Additional Information:**

• Unit consists of 4 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2.
• Clinical assistants available most days to support nursing staff.
• Orientation and training will be provided upon hire, including a tour and introductions to key staff.
• Dress code is flexible, with exceptions for camo or orange attire.
