Join a leading acute-care hospital as an Interventional Radiology Technologist in Winston-Salem, NC. This contract position is ideal for skilled professionals with experience in interventional radiology and cardiology. We are seeking candidates who are dedicated to providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details:
- Shift: First shift with primary call and backup call with other team members to ensure round-the-clock coverage. Staggered start time between 0700 and 0830 for 4x10 hours/day M-F is available.
- Call Requirement: The traveler rotates primary call approximately every 4 weeks and weekend call every 5th-6th weekend. Backup call is approximately 7 days (including a weekend) every 9 weeks.
- Patient Diagnoses: Majority adults and geriatrics, with some adolescents. Required skill in both neuro (including stroke intervention) and body procedures.
- Daily Case Load: 13-17 cases.
- Special Equipment: Experience with Siemens and Phillips x-ray equipment is required; Acuson is preferred.
- Scrubs: Provided.
Required Skills / Certifications / Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in interventional radiology.
- Traveler experience required; first-time travelers are not accepted.
- Inpatient hospital experience, PACS, and contrast experience required.
- Skills in all IR procedures including stents, angioplasty, angiograms, nephograms, kyphoplasty, peripherals, biopsies, drainages, upper and lower extremity, abdominal and pelvic, genitourinary studies, vascular studies, venous access, and neurological studies.
- Certifications: BLS and ARRT are required.
Preferred Skills / Certifications / Experience:
- ARRT Advanced Certification preferred.
- Experience with EPIC and McKesson preferred.
- Experience in outpatient, OR, ER, Level I trauma, teaching hospital, and community hospital settings.
- Experience with ablations is a plus.
Hospital orientation is scheduled for the first week; travelers must be available for classes each day. Please provide your interview availability for the next 72 hours upon submission, as the manager will not offer without speaking to the candidate first.
