Join our team as an MRI Tech specializing in MRI at a leading acute-care hospital in Charleston, WV. We are seeking a dedicated professional to provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic environment. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and enhance your skills in a supportive setting.

Shift: The position requires weekend coverage with a 4x10-hour shift from 06:00 - 18:00. You will work 12 hours per day, with an average daily caseload of 20-25 patients. The department is equipped with one Phillips scanner, and you will never work alone; the caseload will be managed by the department.

Experience Requirements: A minimum of 2 years of experience as a registered MRI tech is required. First-time travelers are accepted if they are MRI registered with 2 years of experience.

Certifications Required: BCLS; ARRT (MR).

Weekend Requirement: Yes, Saturday and Sunday.

No Call Requirement

Floating Radius Rule: 100-mile radius rule applies. Candidates from 75-99 miles will be considered and sent for facility approval on a case-by-case basis.

Pending State License: Candidates can be submitted with a pending license, as long as it is active by the start date.

Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week.

Skill Requirements: IV starts are required; PACS/Contrast experience is preferred.

Special Requirements: Experience in adult acute care, adult ICU, adult outpatient, and ER/Trauma settings is required. MRI procedure experience in abdomen and MRCP is also needed.

Facility Highlights: This is a Level 1 Trauma Center and a major teaching hospital, with a total of 855 staffed beds. The hospital is a member of the Council of Teaching Hospitals and Health Systems (COTH).

Parking Cost: Free for travelers.

Flu Shot Requirement: Please do not send any candidates who refuse the flu shot without medical proof. The facility requires all personnel to take the flu vaccine unless they have an allergy documented by an allergist or physician record. Flu season is from October 1st to March 31st. The COVID vaccine is not required.
