Join our team as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) specializing in Neurology at a leading acute-care hospital in Springfield, IL. We are looking for dedicated professionals to provide exceptional care in a dynamic healthcare environment. Our facility is a Magnet hospital and Level I trauma center, committed to excellence in patient care.

Position / Specialty: Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Shift: 4x12s Nights (1800-0630)

Experience Required: Minimum 1 year experience required. First-timers accepted.

Weekend Requirement: Will work every other weekend.

Certifications Required: BLS and RRT required.

On-call Requirement: Required as needed for the department.

Floating: Will float if needed to meet facility needs. Open to accommodating block schedule; discuss schedule requests with manager.

Local Candidates: Accepted with no radius restrictions. Pending licenses are not accepted; an active IL license is required to apply.

RTO Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days.

Guaranteed Hours: Client may call off up to 36 hours per thirteen-week assignment without paying for the cancelled hours. If more hours are cancelled than permitted, the client will be billed for those shifts. If candidates are placed on-call instead of being called off, that will count as a called-off shift.

Special Requirements:

• Work Setting Experience: Adult Critical Care, Emergency Department.
• Airway Management Skills: Endotracheal tube/suctioning, Extubation, Intubation Assist, Nasal airway placement, Nasal airway suctioning, Oral airway placement, Oropharyngeal/suctioning, Sputum specimen collection, Tracheostomy/suctioning.
• Nebulizer Skills: Hand-held, T-Piece, Trach collar.
• Oxygen Therapy Skills: Bag and mask, ET Tube, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), T-Piece, Trach Collar, Venturi Masks.
• Ventilator Management Skills: BiPAP, CPAP, Troubleshooting high pressure alarms, Weaning from mechanical ventilation.
• Cerner Experience: Required.
• Preferred Experience: Teaching Hospital Experience, Community Hospital Experience, Trauma Level I and II Experience.
