We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cardiac Tele Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Telemetry to join our team in Wilmington, NC. As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional care to patients with cardiac conditions in a fast-paced environment.

Required Skills/Certifications/Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience on the cardiac floor required.
• Traveler experience required unless the traveler has more than 24 months of cardiac experience.
• Skills: Cardiac Telemetry, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, Sheath Removal, Interpretation and Management of dysrhythmias, Post MI care, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, Management of Cardiac drips (no titration), Titration of Cardiac drips, Chest tubes (Emerson/Pleuravac), External CPAP/BIPAP, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management.
• Certifications: BLS & ACLS, NIHSS.

Preferred Skills/Certifications/Experience:

• Arterial line management.
• Wound Care/Wound Vac.
• Charge experience.

Job Details:

• Ratios: 1:6, varies per acuity.
• Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (06:45 - 19:15).
• Float Requirement: Will follow unit rotation - not first to float.
• Weekend Requirement: 4 per 4 weeks (flexible).
• Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team.
• Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty, or disaster.
• Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid-contract may occur, and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed.

Patient Diagnoses: Atrial Fibrillation, CHF, ACS, CAD, Aortic stenosis/regurgitation, Mitral Regurgitation/Stenosis, Endocarditis, Cardiomyopathy, PVD PAD, Vasculitis, Carotid stenosis, Venous stasis, sheath management, sheath removal.

Special Procedures/Unit Details: CABG, AVR, MVR, TAVR, Mitral Clip, LAAO (Watchman procedure), VATS, Carotid endarterectomy, FEM-POP bypass, Amputations, Other vascular surgeries, Cardiac surgeries, Thoracic surgeries, General thoracic surgery, Post cath, Post DCCV, Post electrophysiology procedures, Pacemaker placements.

Special Equipment: Arterial lines (not required), Doppler, Bladder scanner, EKG, Femoral sheaths, TR band, Fem-stop, Chest tubes, Epicardial Pacing Wires.

Unit Systems (Medication, Documentation, Communication): Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR.

Unit Orientation: 24 hours.

Scrubs: Navy.
