Join our team as a Cardiac Tele Registered Nurse in Wilmington, NC, at a leading acute-care hospital. We are seeking dedicated professionals with a passion for patient care in the telemetry specialty. This is a contract position with a focus on delivering high-quality care to patients with cardiac conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience on the cardiac floor required.
• Traveler experience is required unless the traveler has more than 24 months of cardiac experience.
• Certification in BLS & ACLS, NIHSS.

Preferred Skills/Certifications:

• Arterial line management.
• Wound Care/Wound Vac experience.
• Charge experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage patients with conditions such as Atrial Fibrillation, CHF, ACS, and CAD.
• Perform special procedures including CABG, AVR, MVR, and TAVR.
• Utilize specialized equipment such as EKG, Doppler, and chest tubes.
• Document patient care using EPIC and communicate effectively using SBAR.

Unit Details:

• Patient Ratios: 1:6, varying per acuity.
• Weekend Requirement: 4 per 4 weeks (flexible).
• Contract staff may be required to work during catastrophic events or mass casualties.

Additional Information:

• Must pass EKG testing prior to start for this specialty.
• 24 hours of unit orientation is required.
• Scrubs: Navy.
